Water Mist Systems

Water fog is a system that allows the heat rising in the area where the fire starts to be absorbed and evaporated, thus reducing the temperature. It helps to bring the fire under control by providing a temperature drop from approximately 850 °C to 60 °C.

Thanks to the special equipment used in these systems, water is transformed into very small particles and sent into the protected volume. This ensures that the amount of water used has more surface area. Thus, in the volumes where water fog systems are used, water stops the fire triangle by penetrating all surfaces and areas in three dimensions. While directly cooling the flame, the chain reaction in the fire triangle is terminated thanks to the heat it draws from the environment.

Why Choose Water Mist?

  • High cooling effect
  • Low water consumption
  • Reduced pipe size
  • Low system weight
  • Flexible design
  • Type approved for multiple applications
  • Provides protection up to 48 m2 with a single nozzle

Ultra Fog

Founded nearly 35 years ago, Ultra Fog is a leading manufacturer of high pressure water mist fire suppression systems. Under new ownership since 2010, Ultra Fog has invested significant resources in product development and now offers a comprehensive range of approved fire suppression solutions.

Ultra Fog can protect areas up to 48 m2 with a single high-performance nozzle. The company’s products are innovative and environmentally friendly. These characteristics are key factors in Ultra Fog’s continued growth and success in the international firefighting industry.

Our high pressure water fog system is powerful, fast acting, fully approved by IMO, FM, UL and recognized by the major State Fire Services.

A simple design with few components in the nozzle provides high operational reliability while minimizing the maintenance cost of the system.

In 2017 Ultra Fog also developed a nozzle testing tool that encourages and facilitates our customers to ensure that their water mist systems remain fully functional throughout their lifetime. The nozzle tool is easy to use, a fail-safe system that allows each nozzle to be tested without the need to remove the nozzle from the ceiling or break the temperature sensing bulb.

Flexible design, reduced pipe sizes and unobtrusive nozzles are the hallmarks of Ultra Fog’s tested and type-approved technology. Compliant with NFPA 750 and FM, Ultra Fog’s R&D department continually updates and improves the system to meet the highest building standards.

Ultra Fog provides solutions for the following:

  • Sea
  • Passengers and Cargo
  • Yachts
  • Land
  • Tunnels
  • Energy
  • Industry
  • Buildings
  • Open Sea
  • Wind Farm
  • Oil Gas
  • Railroad
  • Metro Station
  • Train
  • Vehicles and Heavy
  • Trucks

Ultra Fog is easy to install and easy to maintain over the life of the system. The increased nozzle spacing, small pipe sizes and no need for large water storage tanks provide the customer with significant installation cost savings, placing UF at the top of its class in terms of value for money and lifetime system maintenance.
